The difference between Refined and Soft is basically about their brushstrokes. The softer one has more of a blurry effect with better lighting while the refined one is more sharper. However you can simply increase sharpness by increasing the current sampling step. The basic sampling steps for both of the Lora is 8.

The soft portrait version is more on semi close-up or close-up, sometimes half body too. Meanwhile the refined one respond better to angles, creativity, and can handle basic full body poses.
